I have chosen that I will not get unless there is no other choice. If I am forced to get it, I will only accept the shot since the nasal vaccine is not as effective as the shot (got this information from a couple family members and friends of the family who work as a nurse or in the medical field).

I'm not getting either, mist or vaccine. I just don't trust any of it.

No more vaccines... for the usual reasons

No flu vaccines in my house...

Well at first I said yes, my son will get this vaccaine then changed my mind too NO , so I have been riding the fence and still dont have a clear decision on what to do, IM really feeling lost and so concerned for my son as well as the rest of my family.

So what to do .......what to do..........................

If your children are not sick why take them to a doctor? I am not getting the vaccine not because it may be unsafe but because I am not sick. I eat well and I am fit.

i have went over this again and again. i cryed said yes then no then yes again talked to my kids doctor and a nurse friend of mine. and then what i came up with was this. my little ones can not say yes or no to this it is up to me and their dad to do everything in our power to make sure they are taken care of and i thought if they get this(the flu) and die then i,m to blame and if i get the shot and they get sick from it then i,m to blame. but every 6 months we have to take our baby down to the heart hospital caz he has d.s and has a hole in his heart and nov 2 is his next visit and thats what made up my mind for me caz we will be at ground zero sort of to say with alot of sick people around him and hes too young to keep a mask on so i got him the shot today with his 3 year old sister getting the mist. so far so good no nothing and his doctor was amazed that tristen did not even cry when he got the shot and hes only 19 months old lol. i might add that he is also in very good health and ahead of where they think he should be having d.s thank god. i feel better him and shy getting the shot caz i feel in my heart that i have now done everything to keep them safe and if they do come down with it the doc said it will be a milder form. we also had a little gril die from the swine flu here in the town that i live in so that with everything elas kind of helped me make up my mind.

I want the vaccines to get clean!!! If that was the case these concerns would be a no brainer!

But this is what I know from the research I've done.
Diseases are still roaming out there like trolls. There is still chicken pox, there is still Polio, Flu..andthere is still all sorts of diseases to contract.

We've come into a society over the years where after vaccinating, we didn't have to worry of these sort of things. We have lived in a society where our medical communities have been able to remove many of these concerns through vaccinations.

I know that there is crap put into these shots. I understand that. And I know that there is beliefs and or studies that have proven what this crap can do to our children. I'm never going to deny that.

But to know the facts is what is important here.
Did you know that next year the H1N1 will automatically be included in the vaccinations? It was just that they were 2 months too late to include them in this years rounds?

I'm going to post something that was written on the Fibro board that I belong to. The H1N! topic has been huge there to as many specialists believe Fibro and Autism are closely related. These were not written by me, but I feel the same way this person does.
I can only urge others to know the facts. And as always, I will respect your choice and opinion as I do my own.

For me and my family, we've had the H1N1, it is the most wicked virus I've ever witnessed in my lifetime. I know of a family who lost their 6yr old son. And another who is watching their teenage daughter deal with becoming paralyzed on the left side of her body due to complications of this virus. This virus scares me more than any form of terroristic attack mankind can create. My prayers will be with each and every one of you that the H1N1 does not ever cross your doorstep.

And if your choice is to not vaccinate because of the crud that is put in them to preserve them...then just think of what is entering the bodies of those infected through IV's and other shots. Those come in 10 fold when you walk through the ER doors. I was there 2 weeks ago this morning. And I thank God that we are here today!

1. There are about 5 or 6 ways vaccines are made. The trial and error portion of vaccine production is mapping out the viral DNA- which hasn't been fully done for AIDS (a complicated DNA chain) and which I believe still has kinks with the HPV virus (which is why there are more side effects than desired). However, just like humans all have the same DNA with varying arms and codes to make us look different, etc... all flus, all colds, all families of the same virus have the same basic chain. Therefore, this H1N1 vaccine is NOT experimental, although it is new. That is why the CDC keeps stressing that it is made the same way other flu vaccines are made. By the way, the regular flu vaccine is NOT the same mixture given year by year, when the last year's flu viruses change they go and make a brand new vaccine with the next year's anticipated strains. So, from the standpoint of it being a totally untested product- that's not completely true.

2. This is probably the most important part to me- people thrive on fear. Fear makes us think irrationally. This is the rationale for getting the vaccine- There have been at least tens of thousands of people to get the H1N1 vaccine over the past couple of months, of that there have been NO reported deaths, no reported severe illnesses, and no reported serious side effects. BUT over the past 6 months there have been hundreds of thousands of peole diagnosed with H1N1 and of that there have been a couple of thousand deaths attributed to it, over 20, 000 hospitalizations, numerous serious complications, etc... So, if we go by the facts, wouldn't it make sense to go with what hasn't proven deadly rather than risk contracting what has? Just my opinion. To me reason wins out.

And with the vaccine, worse case scenario you get a muted version of the disease you are trying to prevent.

3. Media, government, etc have flip-flopped several times on this virus. Truth be told it is killing people with "underlying conditions."
However, those "underlying conditions" have been as common as mild asthma or mild, undiagnosed diabetes, or even "obesity" of people just a few pounds overweight. Fact is, most people of some "underlying condition" some of which are so low lying that they aren't even detectable. They keep playing up the one in three with a major condition but fail to mention that the other two were seemingly healthy. That scares me.

4. If you do have a serious condition in which any vaccine would be questionable or a condition that may trigger more negative side effects, then no the vaccine (either flu vaccine) should be avoided. I believe that we (FMer's) should only get the injected vaccine- why? The flu mists are live-attenuated versions which leave the slight potential (higher than that of healthy people) of contracting the disease- why risk getting it when we can get the deadened shot and call it a day.

If everyone healthy enough to receive the vaccine do receive it- the chances of contracting H1N1 in those to unhealthy for vaccination decreases to almost nothing. "

My grandson's pediatrician says the general medical thinking is NOT to give the H1N1 vaccine to children with autism. I was surprised to hear that.

I don't trust the vaccine. It hasn't been tested enough for me to have any faith in it.
