I dont think the time change does as much as the shorter days....night time is exciting to Ette...so when its dark at 5 he is just thrilled.....
My oldest though gets thrown off when the days get longer though...its hard to go to sleep when the sun is still shinning.... I like winter...it means bedtime can be whenever I want because its dark....:)
