My son is 10 and he has high functioning autism. At the moment, I am hiding in the upstairs bedroom away from the torture otherwise known as the Penguins of Madagascar. :-)
He was diagnosed at three. Since then, we've had him in speech, OT, and a self-contained autism class in the public school system. In addition, we have him on a GFCF diet (to an extent) and are seeing a naturopath who's been giving him supplements and homeopathic remedies. I have seen an improvement in his speech since we've been doing this (about a year and a half.) Most of the time he's a good kid. I do get rather frustrated when he gets loud, overactive, and insists on doing things HIS way and on HIS time schedule. Just wanted to say hello! Posted on 07/05/09, 04:07 pm |
