with the summer upon us and with the economy the way it is, i thought we could all share some inexpensive summer fun ideas for the kids.
state parks are wonderful and usually free. go online and see what there is to do in your area. bowling alleys and skating rings usually have discounts during the summer and special hours. go during the week when everyone is at work . that's what we did and it was so nice. swimming is always good fun and relatively inexpensive. if you can afford it, get a season pass. that way, it's paid for the whole summer. get a baby pool and fill with sand. it helps them with texture issues. i saw yesterday that walmart had colored play sand that was pretty cheap. bubbles, you can't go wrong with that. sidewalk chalk is also very nice to have on days you stay at home. so anyone else have any ideas?
