Residential for 19 year old Aspergers

Do any of you know what I can do to find residential placement for my 19-year old son with Aspergers? We are finding it very difficult to meet his needs as an adult while we are parenting his little sisters. He needs much more than we can offer him in the area we live. He can't even walk anywhere, as we are too far from everything. We want to find him something in a city or town where he can access things and have the group-home type atmosphere that he needs for structure and socialization.

I only know what we have available in Douglas County, Oregon. Here you can contact your local Developmental Disability Services department and they know of many homes in the area. I know of 4 agencies that provide homes. It is also available, depending on their level of ability and desire to have a job. I happen to work at a recycling center, here is the web address. It will give you an idea of what is out there: http://www.sunriseenterprisesinc.com/ Here is a few websites for residential care homes: http://www.marthalloyd.org http://www.drtf.org/ these are just a few of the Agencies available in my county. I would suggest that you ask at the county level about services in your area. In my area we also have a service were they can live at home and receive the services that they need. It's website isn't fully set up yet but it does give you email addresses to contact them. Any of these agencies just might know of an agency in your area...it would be worth a call. Hope this helps.
