Have any of you had any AF symptoms while riding on a plane due to air pressure/oxygen changes? If so how do you handle it?

" Are you suffering AF on any other occasions? If so your doctor may have some ideas about increasing your AF medication before the flight or perhaps anti-anxiety medication. Taking aspirin before the flight may be advisable if you are not doing so to prevent a stroke. If the AF is irregular but the pulse rate not altering then your doctor may not be very concerned. In my case I have AF for a part of each day, but a couple of times a year the pulse rate takes off to 160+. For this reason I have decided not to fly anywhere for more than 3 hrs as it is a drama getting the pulse rate down again. See doctor. "

" I am petrified of flying. Usually I don't know if its my Afib or palpitations from fear. However I went on Prozac 6 weeks ago because I was having really bad panic attacks and we had to fly to NY and for the first time in my whole life (69 years) I wasn't afraid to fly. It was so amazing that I just couldn't get over it. So maybe its not the Afib at all but palpitations from panic of flying. I have chronic Afib but never noticed it on the plane at all. Good luck. "

" I have had a-fib before going on a plane and flew for 8 hours. My mom had died and I was on my way home to seattle from WI. I went into a-fib just before I left. I did come out of it after I got home. "
