I recently saw an advertisement for a clinical research study. I think they have sites all over the country. I am not crazy about my current blood thinning medications, so i might give this a shot. The website is www.livingwithafib.com

I had a look at the site. It is run my Hamilton Cardiology Associates and called the Borealis AF study. It doesn't give any info about the drug at all, even side effects which they must know of by now. I would want to know more before I started. It depends if your heart condition is quite serious or not. I am still only on aspirin and have been reluctant to try warfarin at this stage as I am sensitive to medications and wary of any more side effects. (I battle with AF medication). I wonder if your doctor has heard of it. Anyway no harm in filling in the questionnaire. Good luck, Ruth CR
