could anyone tell me what they stand for never heard the term before

" PVC's are premature ventricular contractions. When I worked in the ER they were considered serious if they didn't stop. The nurses would yell that the patient was "throwing PVC's" and everyone would run and try to stop them.
PAC's are premature atrial contractions. Not that serious and usually caused by stress or too much caffeine. These are benign.

As an AF patient (probably having ablation in January 2010), does that mean I have PACs then?
Never heard any of my docs use that term, as far as I can recall.
