At first the EP told me one to two months , now I understand it can be up to 6 months before one knows the outcome. I couldnt go to work today and tomorrow I have an appt with the EP. god what a struggle this has been. sometimes I want to give up. so ive begun praying.. a lot. It seems other people dont understand what its like tp have arrythmia and I need a lot of support. Thank you everyone for being here.

" Mitchell, We here all understand how horrible arrythmia is, you will always get support and total empathy from this group. I'm sorry you are still experiencing bouts of arrythmia but from what the others say about post ablation this is totally normal. I will be going for my ablation likely in the new year and I am positive I will be thinking exactly the same way. We think that after a surgery the problem should be gone so it should be the same with an ablation. I hope you start feeling better real soon, take care. "

" Mitchellp, hang in there and give your heart time to heal. I had my ablation in Janiuary 2008 and I did have 2 bouts of a-fib about 2 weeks after the procedure and alot of pvc's and pac's. It took at least three months for my heart to calm down altogether. I have been in NSR ever since, with an occasional pvc's, but nothing bothersome. I am off all meds. Good Luck in your recovery. Wishing you well, and wishing you enough... "

" Hang in there. I went to a cardiology consultant who told me I was not a candidate for ablation (after my cardiologist was going to schedule me for one). I was so impressed that I switched to the consultant who offered to take me on as a patient. If you don't like the way things are going try another Dr. My first cardiologist was supposed to be very good and he was merely very arrogant. The new one is treating me with meds and my beat is down to 70 beats/minute. I don't even feel it anymore. You just have to find the right Dr. and the right treatment. Thank God I found mine. Don't give up. Carol Miller "

" That is a good question. I could not tell the difference. After my ablation, I was sent home on a 30 day heart monitor. They showed up on the monitor. They both feel like "hiccups" or missed beats. "

" I showed the EP my ekg from last week, he told me they were pacs. He did tell he thinks I'm doing well but we won't know til my next appt in January! at that time he may suggest a 2nd procedure. I'll worry about it then. Right now I'm praying to God a lot. This is helping. "

" You are so right about this being the most difficult. There was a period of time when after my surgery that I wanted more than anything to just die. The constant suffering was just too much to take.
While its been a year and a half and I'm still irregular, its gotten easier and easier. I guess we all gotta take one day at a time. "
