hey everyone, its been a few weeks since ive been on here so ive just been trying to catch up a little on the discussions. I hope you all are doing great. The last few weeks have been a little hectic for me. I am offically having my ablation done next week the 22nd. Im obviously anxious for the procedure but its great to hear all of the positive feedback from all of you. Going by my age and overall situation, it just seems like the best option for me. I just had my blood-work and CT scan of my heart done this week. My TEE is the 21st, the day before the ablation.

" Hi Steve, THanks for your inspiration to all of us.. I am going to Cleveland Clinic on the 29th of this month for a consultation for an ablation. I 'm really scared considering my age. I am 67. How old are you?. Any where near that? I wonder how they feel about doing them at my age. Inever hear of anyone haivng it done at my age. Decisions, decisions..
I wish you good luck.
take care.
Pat "

" thanks for the encouragement everyone, it really helps a lot.

pate65, good luck at your consultation! Im sure you'll get alot of positive feedback and it will make your decision all the more easier. I'd say my best advice going into the consultation is to feel comfortable with your EP, and be ready to ask any questions that concern you. O, and to answer your question, i am 25 years old. But im sure there are many people on here that can reassure you about having the procedure done at your age. I know of at least a few that have had it done that are closer to your age. That's the funny thing about this condition. apparently it is more common among older age groups but it can indeed come out in younger people as well, like myself. Im sure you will be fine but i wish you the best of luck as well! and let us know what happens! "
