I am currently taking flecainide for my lone AF and although my episodes over the past 9 mths have been minimal i still have daily ectopic beats. These can be eased or stopped by changing my postion eg standing rather than sitting.Does anybody else who has found sucess for their AF still experience ectopic beats? Also has anybody experienced weird emotional chances on this medication, like severe feeling of tension /anxiety for no reason?

" I think everyone experiences skipped beats one time or another. I had a successful ablation in January 08 and I no longer have any a-fib episodes (knock on wood!!!), but every now and then I do have a PVC or two. I just ignore them, and they are not too bothersome to me. I've never had any anxiety side effects on any of the meds I was on (sotalol, cardizem, atenolol, ryhtmol, or flec) but everbody reacts differently. Wishing you well, and wishing you enough... "

" I had no problems with flecainide but when I took Digoxin for a year I had panic attacks every single day until I finally stopped taking it and now I am calm and have peace. You just have to find what is right for you. I am doing very well on Metoprolil. Diltiazem and Cozaar (for high BP). It has lowered my beat to around 80 beats/minute. I also take Warfarin and probably will for the rest of my life. I wish you good luck. Don't ever stop trying new drugs. It took me 2 years to find the right ones for me. Hidss "

" I have them when I don't take care of myself - meaning alcohol, cigarettes, caffeine, stress, lack of sleep.
I got off flecainide 2 months ago with good results. Most of my problems were due to stress.
I hope you will feel better soon! "
