It's been so hot here it's unbearable. When i go ouside it takes my breath away. It's hard for me so I don't get my walk in. My partner has MS and gave me part of her cooling vest equip. Ice filled wrist and neck bands. This helps so much. The Tikosyn makes it hard to deal with the heat also and of course it raises my heart rate. I load up on water before I go out and take it with me. I stay in the shade as much as possible also. How do the rest of you deal with the heat and how does it affect you?

" To tell you the truth, I'm feeling the heat less this year than I ever remember. Of course, Tulsa's 100 degree days are just starting. I'm wondering if it's because my rate control drugs keep my HR so low? Would a low HR keep my body temp down? "

" Hi Shantima, I too have found the heat intolerable. I was diagnosed last July and noticed the adverse affect summer heat had on me right away. I walk on the treadmill now. My only summer outdoor activity is Swimming. Terry, my bp average has always been low. "

" The heat here is Fl is horrible. I walk with my neighbors at 9:00
and I come back dripping. But i refuse to get up any earlier..

I haven't had any adverse reactiions, in fact exercise sometimes
helps my afib. But I don't know if it would with the weather this hot. "

" Comfortable and cool here in SF. Fog clearing to sunny skies this afternoon. Hopefully. Ushering at the SF Opera"s "Nixon in China". Tomorrow off to the Fillmore Street Jazz Festival. I sympathize with those suffering from the heat. It's rare here in SF. "

" Bergeram, SF and your life there sound delightful. I love visiting SF and fell in love with Palo Alto years ago.
Petey, I meant to mention - I've had an inground pool for 15 years - love it. It requires a lot of hands on care but I can do it from in the pool so I'm very happy with the situation. Unfortunately, the water temp is 90 thesee days - kinda like taking a bath! "

" We too have hot weather up here in Canada and it sooo humid. Does anyone think that being on Tikosyn effects the heat and perhaps feeling not too good?

" Petey,
Have a cool one for me. I'll bet you have been watching the Euro Cup.
Who is going to win tomorrow?
