" I have had 5 cardioversions and never experienced shortness of breath or anything like it after. However my Dr. increased my beta blockers to 480mg. and now I find myself yawning all day long. I can't seem to get enough breath. I went online and found that this is one of the side effects of beta blockers. Its also a side effect of Metoprolol which I also take. I'm kind of used to it now but its really embarrassing to yawn in people's faces all day long. Hope this helps. Carol Miller "
