AFIB and out of country travel

I've had 2 AFIB episode since September(the first). I am now on Amioderone, aspirin and Novarsk to control heart rate and AFIB. I travel world wide for business and was wondering what to do if I have an AFIB episode during my travel. The ER MD told me to head for the ER if it doesn't go back to NSR within 1 hour.
I don't feel like going to ER in another country (cost and language. What do you do wiat it out, pill in the pocket, fly back or go to ER?
Thanks for the feedback

" I cancelled my trip to Barbados because of afib. My MD was concerned about the level of care in smaller areas. I have now had an ablation and I am back in NSR now and I am looking at some travel. My MD still has recommended staying in the country. I think I would want to know the source of the afib before I ventured to far away. Mine was extra veins on my heart. Good luck! "

" I either waited it out or pill in pocket. My EP had me carry Atenolol with me as a pill in pocket to take whenever I went into A-fib or Flutter. Only once did I have to go to ER because attack was so bad, and I did not have any problems with the fact I was out of the country(language or care). "

" AF happens anywhere, anytime. If it getz 2 bad, u may have to sit & rest, especially if you're on your feet, walking somewhere.
AF will slow down your laugh, your walk, & your talk, your presentations, etc.
It's best to have meds on you at all times.
Alcohol & Caffeine make it worse.
Try to sit more & remain as calm as you can.
Don't drive; it'll make ya more nervous.
People who work every day find their own ways to deal w/AF.
Best of luck to U! "

" Of course have a pill in yr pocket. Check out all my posts about how I got off the drugs, found out what was triggering afib (food allergies) and manage it now. A good vitamin mix was key. "

" I have traveled interntionally with my job for over 25 years. My CP advised a pill in the pocket - my choice was atenonol. Some Doc's choose Cardizim. You may have to do some trial and error to determine what works best for you. Unless you are in Europe, I would not take a chance in other less developed countries. You are on some potent drugs for the condition. You should ask your cardio your best choices. "
