" I am not sure what you mean by a bump on your heart. If possible, you should see a different cardiologist.. Amioderone seems like an extreme choice of drugs for somebody your age that's only had three episodes of AF. There are so many other mediactions to use that do not have the toxic effects of amioderone. Amioderone is usually used after other meds have failed. I am not aware of how the healthcare system in Mexico operates, but if possible, you need to see a different doctor. Take care. "

" 3 attacks in 4 years is not alot. I agree with rn52. Find an EP Doctor. Mexico? H-m-m-m.... sounds like you need to know where your going is legitimate, Google Heart Rate Society (Click on " find a specialist"). Not sure if Mexico is in there, but San Diego and Austin have great centers. Read old posts on this site. Sounds like anxiety is a huge problem for you and your responsibility as a parent is a huge part of that. Haven't has a drink for 2 months? How did you survive? You might want to look at past drinking as a trigger. Good luck. petey "

" His" bumps on the heart" means he is now aware when his heart rhythm is not normal. He may have been living with that problem for longer than he thinks . I have been fighting this disease since 1997.
I am on Pradaxa, Betapace, low dose aspirin, and Plavix.

Unless I actually check my pulse I cannot tell it is going on unless a few indicators show up such as I get a little woozy, or more fatigued than usual. I am not familiar with the medication he mention.

" There are different ways to treat atrial fibrillation. You need to see a well qualified electrophysiologist as soon as possible. They will help you understand what can be done to help you. Don't be afraid to visit this support group often and ask questions. We support each other here. "
