This is great news. He actually spent 3 hours with me, on my first appointment.
He was so nice. Asked a lot of questions. Like everyone on here had told me, he said there are so many alternative medicines that we could try. He put me on an albuteral tablet and that is working great. So now, I don't have to hooked to my machine all day. He also is changing my 500/50 advair. LOL, he said, I have never seen anyone that has lived with thrush as long I have. He said, do you want to live with thrush for the rest of your life? Of course I said no. That is when he mentioned all the other steroid medicines. Overall, they have called me twice since my appointment, and is willing to try new things. My last two doctors were not will to change anything. The one doctor kept lowering my medication when I kept telling her that my asthma is worse. Which could be why I got pleurisy twice this year. This doctor is in Plano Texas and his name is Dr.Chappell. Just want to let others know in case you were looking for a good one. Posted on 11/02/09, 11:11 am |

That is so awesome! My allergy/asthma doctor that I have now is fantastic too. It's so great when you finally find the doctor that meshes perfectly with you. Gives you such relief and true help. Mine is Dr. Bahrainwala in Royal Oak, MI.
I've most recently started Xolair - a true miracle drug!!
