Is it true those with asthma should look into getting the H1N1 Vaccine? I've heard that H1N1 can make it extremely difficult for those with asthma to breathe. Anyone else hear about this? Comments?

" My kids have asthma and just got over the H1N1 flu. They had a lot of respiratory problems due to the flu + asthma...I had to give nebulizer treatments every four hours for several days, along with cough medicine that contained codeine to help them sleep at night. "

" I have heard it too. It has been on the news and in the papers where I live .There was a clinic here that only those in the high risk group could get the vaccine and asthmatics were part of their list too. My doctors office has not said any thing to me about the nasal spry version but the nurse I talked to about getting it aorumatically jumped to me getting the injectable version because we are hoping to get the seasonal and H1N1 done at the same time if they have them and are not out. I do not know if my dodcors office wants me to get the vaccine because of my asthma or my age, 17, or both though. "

" Asthmatics should get the killed/dead INJECTABLE vaccine ONLY, and NOT the LIVE nasal spray. "
