I have within the last few months had a ton of asthma problems. I have had asthma symptoms daily for months. Before a few months ago, I would had chest tightness off and on but it wasn't all the time and I wasn't on any asthma medicines. My question is why all of a sudden would someone start to have asthma problems all of the time?

" It is important to keep your immune system strong in order to fight off the allergens that enter your body. I know for a fact that sugar weakens your immune system as well as white flour. In order for your body to fight off an attack it needs to be strong. Try eliminating sugars, white flour and vinegar from your diet for a while. I know it won't be easy. (it wasn't for me) but it will definitely be beneficial. Also in the meantime start taking supplements that will boost your immune system like Vitamin C and there are others out there as well that are geared toward your immune system. Make sure that they are a better quality supplement because most brands of supplements are not absorbable in your body and don't help you at all. Good luck! "

" At 57, I'm a bit overweight, but I've always avoided smoke of any kind, and have always been active. I used to be a mountain biker and runner. Last week I just seized up, all of a sudden, and I'm told I have asthma! I am so glad I found this group to sort things out and deal with the surprise. When typing into the keyboard, I know I am calm, and taking deep breaths. That you all ! "

" Hey Wheeziejo,

Sorry to hear that you have asthma. I know it's a very terrible disease that anyone could have. But there is nothing to be scared or worried about it. First, it is important that you understand what control means. To completely control asthma is to reduce its frequency and severity, so that the asthma does not interfere with normal activities.
