Could the Flovent pump be causing this feeling?!?! It's awful!! I could barely sleep last night due to it!

" It could but rather than stop Flovent, could either ask about other succh inhaled steriod meds and/or ask about taking a GERD drug such as Nexium, Prilosec, etc. "

" The only thing is I don't want to start taking another medication...especially since I have never been diagnosed with GERD and never had a problem in that area! I am so frustrated..I think it is the Flovent!! I took a OC heartburn reducer med a few hours ago and all it did was upset my stomach!! :( "

" Flovent is an inhaled steriod and could cause GERD. You might need to take and anti-GERD med while on this. This is common. "

" Wouldn't it be better to just take another medication such as singulair or something rather than creating a condition I don't have? "

" Singulair and flovent are completely different medications/ You need the steroid in the Flovent to control the asthma. Singulair might help with allergic asthma but is not interchangable for Flovent. "

" Heartburn doesn't seem to be a common side effect..Ive been trying to do research online and couldn't find anything that says its a side effect. Also, the doctor was shocked that I was complaining of heartburn. Is it not common?!?! "
