This is about my 15yo daughter. She came home from school today complaining that it felt like her chest was on fire, and has a dry hacking cough. She is on Advair 100/50 and an Albuterol inhaler. She used her inhaler twice and said her chest still hurts. Is it a cold, exacerbation of her asthma or both? Should I take her in to the doctor?

thanks for any input!

" If the inhaler is not taking away her symptoms, I would definitely at least call the doctor. IDK about her doctor but I know that with mine I call and talk to a nurse and they tell me whether or not I should come in or what to do. "

" thank you for the advice! Turns out she has the flu now like her brother has last week. Got the fever last night. Hopefully she'll recover faster than her brother did, took him a week! "
