Yup.. totally Normal.. we call it "selective deafness", mention something like "Candy" and they are very attentive.

haha Im at the age I remember lol.
well yea I didnt enjoy swimming lessons eh. Hid goggles etc :P haha lol. Its the same with adults too!! mention the word confidential or money/ free AND theyll listen lol haha..

When I was a kid I received the "curse" from my mom. She told me that I would grow up and have a daughter who acted just like me. Well, I must have really needed a lesson because I have two daughters who act just like me!

I think kids understand to a point, but not like an adult would; they prob. would feel bad as they got older and realized, wow, I guess I really should have listened... Its a maturity thing having experienced those world realities and comprehension just isn't fully there when you're a kid.
