Ok, I'm 16. I made a doctors appointment for next week because I think I have Aspergers. Do you think these symptoms I show below relate to Asperger's?

find it very hard to learn things that im are not interested in

difficulties socialising - making and keeping friends – always the one left out.

highly sensitive to loud noises, touch and smells

difficulty understanding other people’s jokes and sarcasm

have a very special interest, which I wanted to talk about constant

very anxious, going to new places or meeting new people.

Can spend hours with imagination.

Good at drawing pictures

Do the same thing everyday/Watch the same films, over

If someone asks me to do something, I'd say "right, what do i do again" because I wont understand and they have to explain to me again.

Repetitive play

Always notice small details, that others don't

" A lot of this does sound like Aspergers, but why don't you just wait and see what the doctor says next week. Keep in mind, though, that not all doctors know a lot about Aspergers. You may have to try different psychologists or psychologists to find one who really knows about this. "

" It sounds like it, but don't expect a definite diagnosis. I have Aspergers but wasn't diagnosed until just last year and I'm 17. Girls with Aspergers are harder to diagnose because the symptoms appear different. Boys are usually diagnosed before elementary school starts. I was diagnosed with OCD, and ADHD until my little brother who has Aspergers as well mentioned to his therapist that I'm a lot like him and we get along well (he doesn't get along with my other siblings).

You may have to go to several psychologists and such before you have a final diagnosis. Its nothing personal, Aspergers is just really tricky to find. "
