I have a bad seperation. My doctor suggested Alleve. Opinions?

" I wonder if you mean an A-C separation? How did you do that? My wife did that to her shoulder when she got flipped off a bicycle. Her collarbone was sticking up all funny. Anyway, alleve is naprosyn, which is a decent anti inflammatory pain med, but may not be strong enough for an acutely injured shoulder. Lots of ice, rest. Try it out, if it isn't enough, call your doctor and tell him you need something stronger. Good luck.
