I was wondering if anyone here was a victim of Vioxx before it was taken off the market.
In the news here, it says the manufacturing company has made an offer of compensation in the USA. It is hoped the same will happen here in Australia. I was on it but was taken off it as soon as it's risk for heart attack and stroke were made public. I had no ill effects, thankfully. Posted on 11/10/07, 02:11 am |

I am noot a doctor but i have always had doubts about the vioxx decision.
I think the case involved a man who was running a marathon and was in his late 50's. Also the wife knew someone on the jury. All these supposed side effects make me suspicious. I know i could be dead wrong on this. Anyone remember the case? murs

Yes I was on vioxx, I also had no ill effects but there were many, many people who did....not just one man as mur implies...
