Hi everyone. I am new to the group and am glad there are others to talk to about this. I have a few questions. I have long q t but don't know which type. Is it important for me to find out what type? Is there a blood test for it and what is it called? Also, I had several episodes months ago before I got on a beta blocker where I would be at a resting heart rate and out of nowhere within 30 seconds or so it sped up to over 200. I became very dizzy and almost passed out. Every time it happens I go outside in case I pass out so someone can see me if I do and start praying out loud. It is soooo scary. This is what was happening to me when I saw a cardiologist and found out what was going on. At that time I was driving and I passed out out of the blue and hit a bunch of mail boxes. That had never happened to me before. I just suddenly came to. I remeber being very upset with my x-husband and the affair he is having at the time. I had just got through talking to my children about the mistress. So I was very upset. I never did find out what happened to me just that for days afterward I was out of it and had amnesia for days. Do you think that I had another episode and passed out? My last question is, should I push the Dr's in getting that implant. (Can't remeber name of it) The Dr I had in town told me to get it and to get my other Dr out of town to do it but when I saw him he didn't really seem to take anything serious or think it was serious enough. I don't know which one. Any advise? Thank you, Ellen
