with lots of questions, although I am not new to DS. Ever since May, my heart rate and blood pressure have been really wild -- the highest it was on the Holter monitor was 163. The cardiologist is talking about doing a sinus node ablation on me, and at 42, the idea terrifies me. I am full of questions on what to expect, and I don't know where to turn for answers. Any information anyone can provide would be greatly appreciated.

" What arrthythmia were you diagnoised with? A-fib or pvc's? Are you seeing a regular cardio or EP? Did they suggest a sinus node ablation or an RF ablation? Sorry for all the questions, I just trying to get an idea as to why your cardio suggested a sinus node ablation. That is a very big first step to take. I myself suffered from a-fib, a-flutter and occasionaly v-tach. After years of failed medications, I had an RF ablation done. I was told if the RF ablations did not work, the last resort would be a sinus node ablation. "
