Has anyone on here taken Coreg? I'm on Toprol XL and they are going to change me to Coreg and I'm curious of any side effects etc.

" I took Coreg before I took toprol XL for about 4-5 days. The docs said it was the best for heart failure patients. I was allergic. I broke out in hives all over my body. It was miserable. They switched me to Toprol. They said only 1-2% of the population has a problem with allergic reaction to Coreg. I think it is a pretty good beta blocker. "

" Coreg helps with strengthing the heart muscle for CHF patients, it is an extremely effect medication. Usually the most common side effect is fatigue as with toprol, if you can bear with the intial side effects I think you will like it "
