Multiple Surgerys

I've read a lot online about how people have had multiple surgerys. But I am a little uninformed. When I had my surgery, it was back in 2000 and I was only 12, and I didn't really know much about Chiair Malformation back then.
But now I am afriad that a lot of my symptoms are coming back, and they have been for a long time. Has this ever happened to anyone before, even after such a long period of time?

" Hi there...

I think it IS common for people who have had a surgery when they were young to need to have further surgical intervention when they are adults. It is so important to be seen by a Chiari expert!! If you need help locating one, perhaps we can help.

Also, this question was raised recently, here:

perhaps some of these replies might help?

I'm sorry your symptoms (sx) are returning!! Will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

" Where do you find experts? I have an appointment at Vanderbilt later this week (my first one in years!) but I have no idea if shes a Chiari expert or not.. I feel so new to the idea of this even though I've had it for so long. "

" what is the name of your doctor? I found some docs at Vanderbilt I can show you if I know which one. The one I've looked at looks really knowledgeable (who knows?).

Could you go to Baltimore? There is a VERY good and knowledgeable, expert specialist named Dr. Fraser Henderson at Bethesda, MD. I have heard so many good things about him, including people who have recently come out of surgery with him. He's very kind and respectful, listens well, and an excellent surgeon. "
