Please help! Post Surgery

Hi everyone, I hope everyone is doing well.
I had surgery craniotomy with C1 removal on 9-14-09 since surgery I have been doing well considering. Suddenly yesterday at 6 am I woke with the most painful headache I have ever had in my life ironically it was the same morning I was scheduled to have my staples removed. When I sat up I would be in horrible pain. Well I went to my appointment and told my NS about this sudden headache. The nurse was removing my staples and spinal fluid was leaking (dripping) from my incision. The NS looked at it and advised it was common to have a pocket of fluid which caused my sudden headache. I was advised to lay flat, drink lots of fluid and call the NS today to let him know how I was feeling. The fluid leaked pretty consistantly over night but this morning seems to have almost stopped and the headach is better. My question is has anyone ever experienced this after surgery? Hi, No i do not take topomax.I am only on flexeril (muscle relaxer) and percocet. I am down to only taking my medicine at night. I am trying not to be dependant on medicine but as you know it has only been 2 weeks since my last surgery so I have alot of pain still in the muscles of my neck. I am also sorry to continue to have these symtoms. The good news is the I have not yet had anymore leaking of CSF, that is a huge relief.
