" These drugs have always been unsafe. There is always the chance of liver. Expecially if you are taking more than prescribed to you. I am sure taking them long term can't be good for anyone you have to use your head and be smart. I could tell you horror tales about people I have taken to the hospital that have overdosed on tylenol, advil, ibprofen on purpose its not a way I would want to die takes weeks sometimes months and its aweful. " I've been on percocet this time for about 2 months. This scares me because I have finally come to terms with what my nuerosurgeon told me to find a pain management specialist. Which I haven't been able to do. Do we really have other option that are safer that will not cause liver damage? I know for me a pain med I'm lucky for it to last me 2-3 months and then it will not work any longer and I'm hurting again. I don't know if it is this way for many other or not. "
