Chiari getting worse

Hi everyone,
I need some advice. I had a full MRI done of my spine and found nothing significant other than bulging discs in my neck. A few months ago I was diagnosed with Chiari Malformation type 1. I am planning on having surgery in october. I am contemplating doing it sooner. My symptoms are increasing and on average I am calling out of work sick at least once a week. When I drive I feel like I lose the blood all out of my legs and feet. My ears ring from time to time now and when I walk or get up more and more recently I get pressure in my head more than ever. A few nights ago I was laying down to go to bed and got bed spins so bad I had to open my eyes and sit up and focus on something not moving in the room along with pressure in my head. Another thing that happened that scared me bad is I went to dinner with my boyfriend and all of a sudden my right eye went half way blind. I had a blotch covering half my right eyes vision that was red and black and had what looked like a white worm going through it but it was pulsating..... 20 minutes later I had a bad headache.....I am scared my malformation has increased in size....everyday now I am having visual disturbances like floaters more often than not. Now today I have been lounging around all day and all of a sudden I have neck and shoulder pain on my left side when I havent been laying on that side at all..... should I push the surgery date forward? I would definetly talk to your doctor about it. It sounds to me like they are getting worse and If it was me I would want to move it up because October is a long time away and you don't know how bad you will be by then.

I am so sorry you are feeling bad, I know how scary that can be. I once woke up with a blotch covering both eyes. I was SO scared. I must have slept in a weird position or something b/c I woke up and could not see at all. I screamed for my husband and I sat up and slowly it started to fade and I could start to see again. This is before I knew about Chiari. I do think you should talk to your NS and see if he thinks you should bump up the surgery. I also have the pressure in my head upon getting up and the beating sound when I get up or strain in any way. I take a minute when I get up to let it releave itself.
