more than one surgery

Has anyone had more than one surgery for this or talked to the docs about it? I just talked to mine neurosurgeon on Thursday and he really scared me about needing it done again. He says that the chances of something going wrong increase dramaticly( infection, leakage of spinal fluid, and so on). Mostly because of scar tissue that is there from the previous surgery. Now don't get me wrong I really like my doc he is really straight forward and shows me my MRI films and where the problem is that needs fixed but he acted like he was really scared himself to do such a surgery. So it would put my mind and my families mind at ease a bit to talk to some others that have gone through it more than once. Or even give me your take on it what would you do in my shoes? I posted about another doc in Oklahoma because he is sending me to see a specialist in Oklahoma City but he is a pediatric specialist and we don't know if he will do the surgery at all or just give us advice and my doc has only done this 2 times in his life. So PLEASE tell me what would you do if you were me?
