Farewell to my Mother
Farewell to my mother,
who once was so bright,
gone to a world that is grey without light.
Gone is the laughter,
the jokes until tears,
Replaced by her demons,
insecurities and fears.
There is chaos and blackness,
that lives in her mind,
a daughter who loves her is left behind.
The injury that caused her reasoning to part,
poisons my thoughts of her,
breaking my heart.

Farewell to my mother,
