I have been stuck literally ever since Moms brain aneryism burst Dec 3,2008. I cannot seem to fully enjoy Life. Often worry and cry occasionally about my Moms aftermath and road to recovery and her struggles. I am trying to escape this constant sadness and live life and be happy. But, somehow I feel guilty I cannot go visit and help Mom with learnign programs but once per month for 3 days/nites. I live 4 hours away and am still working and married. My mom has improved immensly since Icu days and rehab stay, but has a long recovery ahead and lots re-learning to do. She has lots anger and flusterations about this. Some days, I believe she is in denial she has a brain injury! she gets about 4-5 learning sessions per week and some is pushed by family to do. her relunctance to work with my sister is sad and hurtful as it slows her learning ability to recover. She will do it but after fits and anger to be told, either do it or recovery will be slow. How does nayone learn well with anger issues? I am perplexed, sad, worried and have come to a point of surrender. I cannot go on with this heavy stress, worry and sadness and must let it go. Realize it is up to my moms ability to work hard at learning programs and outside therapys and up to God. I must have hope but now need to re-focus on my health and well being so i can start to fully enjoy Life again.
I love my dear mother and wish and hope God will guide her to twards recovery and she will have the strength to persue her goal to get herself back as close as possible as before. I pray she will. Sassy
