Anxiety Disorders in Children Support Group

My 11 year old son was put on .05 mg of klonopin once a day and it did nothing for his anxiety...his most recent psych doctor has put him on luvox...i take xanax and my son is the size of an adult..he weighs 184 pounds due to taking steroids all of his life on and on for respiratory problems....i know that xanax can be very addictive and i dont want this for my son at his age..but arent all meds addictive if you think about it...a diabetic could be considered to be addicted to insulin because there bodies have to have that drug to survive..just wondering what some of you think about a child being on benzos for severe anxiety..its really getting to me and making my anxiety worse worrying over him all the time and knowing when hes panicky and not being able to do anything about it..ive literally thought about giving him like .25 of one of my xanax before to see if it would help him, but im too afraid to do that and im sure that isnt the best idea..just looking for some advice from anyone...dont think that im crazy or trying to do anything that would harm my child i just want something to help him.....
