Be sure to have a good Psychologist. The Psychiatrist doesn't really matter, that person just authorizes medicine. The real treatment comes from therapy; your ultimate goal for your daughter is to be able to handle anxiety on her own, without meds, one day, and with proper therapy she can.

Thanks, we do have a psychologist on board and will be working with him closely. He new school is also willing to work along side the psych to make sure things are followed through with while she is at school.

My daughter is on prozaz, since march of 2008 and it has helped alot she has severe anxiety and it helped tremendously, it was hard at first for the first few weeks as her sensory was off but they said that was expected,,She sees a psychiatrist every other month and he keeps close tabs on the med and her...

My son is on Zoloft for the anxiety and depression along with his ADHD meds. So far it has worked out pretty good although the Zoloft makes the Concerta less affective(not good) but the mix seems to be working for now.

my son has been on prozac almost 2 week not seeing any change yet he was on 5 mg now is on 10, what level started making a difference. He is almost 10 and just hit 60 pounds?
