Mindfulness is a great tool for working with anxiety, depression and emotional stress of all kinds - but it has to be used right.
The approach used in Mindfulness Meditation Therapy is excellent, because it focuses mindfulness directly on the inner pain and allows you to build a relationship with it that is safe and spacious. This inner freedom definitely supports transformation.
Definitely worth checking out.
