This was the book that turned me on to the world of CBT. My boyfriend gave it to me and suggested I do the exercise called the TEA form in it everyday. He said he heard about it at a support group he was going to and that it could teach me how to control my anxiety and help me eliminate the thinking errors I was making that caused my anxiety, health anxiety and panic attacks. In a matter of months I was feeling better and several months later I was able to wean off my meds and have not looked back. What was really cool about this book was that it was written by a guy (Sam Obitz) who struggled with anxiety and depression for most of his life before finding the help he longed for with CBT. It's also a short book so it is not too daunting and very encouraging in its tone.

" Theres a reson why none of ppl that left possitive reviews on this book have avatars. Thats because those are members of a good marketing team.
I was stupid enough to buy this book. Akll i got was a 100 page brochure with 18 size font!!!!!
Ideas are old as the world you all thow them - positive thinking , relaxation.
There's a reason why this book is only sold on one website !

" Cbt is NOT positive thinking. Very different and positive thinking does not work (believe me I have tried it) and cbt does. Cbt is over 85% effective for treating anxiety and panic. We used this book in my group and I loved its simplicity but I could care less if you buy it or not, but don't disparage cbt as it is proven and helps more people than any other form of treatment, med or non med. "
