I thought I'd already posted this but I guess I stuffed up somewhere.
I read recently that Omega 3 can help with depression. I bought some yesterday and I'm a bit nervous to take it in case what I read is wrong. Has anyone else heard this? Posted on 10/07/07, 05:10 am |

i just started taking it too, it says to take three in the morning, so as usual i start with one to see if anything bad happens..ill do that for a couple of days then go to two, im also adding vitamin e and CLA as a weightt loss aid as i have gained 50 lbs on paxil. i will do the same with those by taking just a little then waiting. do all anxious people feel frightened to take meds, supplements, etc??? My neice says it is all "in my head" (dah) but i think also some people are more sensitive to that sort of thing

I've been taking omega 3's for over a month now and I definitely feel that they've stabilized my mood and decreased my anxiety. Keep in mind that it will take some time for you to notice these effects so don't give up on them too soon!

I've taken it for years...I didn't know it helped w/anxiety or depression, I took it for dry skin! Never had an adverse reaction, but I only take one daily, buy a good brand and keep it in the fridge so it doesn't get rancid. It's also supposed to be good for your heart. T

Well I went for it today and just took 1. Toomuchinfo - I do get really funny about taking new things too! Then if I feel like they do me some good I then panic if I run out.
Anyway I'll give it a go. linm you can also get Omega 3 in a vegetarian version which is lucky as I am one, it's Flaxseed. In fact today I've been really determined to help myself (must be either desperate or overly confident - not sure which) but I'm taking everything that I've heard of that can help, vitamins, zinc, omega 3 and tonight I'll take some Magnessium as I read somewhere it can help with sleeping. Perhaps it is desperation as I think that if someone told me that if I ate a pair of stinky old socks it would help I would propably give it a go.

Hi ive been taking it for over a month had no probs with it, i'm abit like you trying new things hoping it will work.also taking evening primrose oil, b vits and magnesium
