i was on it for a month a few months ago and i think it really helped with my anxiety, but came off it to go on effexor, dont know why, but was prescribed it again. 10 mgs now i have ms which makes me tired and dizzy i took lexapro 2 days ago and felt extra dizzy can you break the 10 mg in half and work your way up to 10 in a week?

" yes you can, that is what i did. At first i was dizzy all the time and that made my anxiety worse so then i took half for a couple of weeks and it went away "

" Yes my doctor actually told me to break them in half for the first three weeks. I have been a little dizzy and weird feeling, had some panic but the doc went up on my ativan until I get adjusted. Hang in there. "

" Yes. I tried to go from 10mg/day to 20mg/day and became very dizzy. So I used a pill cutter to allow me to take 15mg/day. It has really helped. I have been really happy with Lexapro. Hope it works for you! "
