Is there a way out of the anxiety prison. We all are different and have different starting places and different paces of healing.

Do you believe you can heal? It seems to follow if you do not believe you can effect your disorder you are helpless. If you believe you can not heal then percentages are good you will not.

Do you do any action to improve your condition everyday? Research has shown that knowing your disorder, your brain function and action on those items leads to improvement.

Are you the quarterback of your recovery? Doing something to heal everyday improves you more than all the talk or evaluation in the world.

Action seems to be the hardest thing for us on DS. Very few people take action or have a daily routine if healing.

Do you have a direction? You are the quarterback and no one cares as much as you about your health.

Would a daily routine and a journal help?

You can adjust your effort and start to heal. No one can do it for you.

" I totally agree you have to make a decision within yourself to change. Each day you wake up you are having to decide that today will be better. Its helps to read spritual devotionals and listening to christian music. Recovery hurts for me personally I am allowing God to fight my battles. "

" In my case, it has been very beneficial to talk to my therapist and slowly slay the dragons of flashbacks, and other thought patterns. I do journal, and it helps a good deal, too. So, yes, I guess I have made a personal goal of getting better, or not letting the dragons defeat me. "

" I absolutely believe you can heal because I am firmly on my way there (if not already). I thank having a wonderful CBT therapist who led me through my past and gave me proper tools to face life with.

It will get better, but sometimes we need help to get there. =) "

" Here here . Couldn't have put it better myself . I do lot's to get well cos no one will do it for me and i see a massive change in me . The sad part is it all works but not many push themselves to get well and i can understand that cos we're all going through differant feelings an emotions so it's hard to get started and many don't know where to start . Even today now i was looking at the online cog therapy course and thought omg where do i start and how long will it take and will it really help me etc. "
