Day 2 off efexor

Hi all! I've finally stopped taking efexor after 4 months withdrawel. First i done 37.5mg for 2 months than 15mg for a month and then resorted to taking the beads out of the capsule and splitting them and taking very small amounts. Yesterday was very good but today the shocks and dizzines are in my head .What a bitch of a drug to come off . You d think after nearly taking not even 5mg a day for weeks you wouldn't feel like this . I don' t know how in the name of god people go cold turkey . Words of advice would be don' t ever ever go cold turkey . Not only is it hell it can be dangerous and the systoms could return. I'm off work today because my heads gonna explode also . Still though i'm possitive these feeling's won't last for too many days . Must stay strong now . I have to say though i feel tonnes better then i did on them . I'm feeling more awake and alert . My anxiety that i had every morning since June is gone

That was the easy part i've been told coming off the drugs the hard part is getting well so the anxiety won't return again. I am angry though that the manufacturers make it sound like a walk in the park when withdrawing. If i was aware of this i would never have gone for efexor . I found all the other anti dep fine to come off but there again i suppose i was only on 20mg. I don't know why i had to do 75mg. The issue with going abroad is still there and thats mainly why i needed help but even efexor didn t stop me freaking out so i think one big waste of time for me, i'm still back at the start . So i was wondering does anyone know how long the withdrawel syptoms should last and do you think i have done it the right way or wrong way wth my dosage reduction ?

" I've never taken Effexor but I hear it's tough medication to get off... Sounds like you've been tapering off in a very responsible fashion so kudos to you! I hope you'll soon be rid of any withdrawal symptoms. Just make sure you are continuing with whichever tools work for you - breathing, meditation, relaxation CDs, etc. (BTW, 75 mgs of one drug has little correlation to the milligrams of another drug. The numbers are pretty meaningless unless you are comparing the same medication.)

Wishing you all the best! "

I don t think i could have done the withdrawel any better , i have a head cold too so that makes it xtra crap but its half 5 in the evening now and i m not too bad . The dizziness isn t too severe and i have no headache now . If i can just get through next few days i should hopefully be over the worst xxx Lovely doggie by the way "
