My doctor prescribed this to me last month... same mg and everything... i was taking xanax. The difference to me is that this drug takes a bit longer to work BUT it lasts longer than xanax. It is pretty wonderful because even though it takes longer for my attack to end.. i normally feel great and relaxed the rest of the day and dont have another one. i have taken 2 when im really bad... i hope this helps and if you have any questions let me know :)

I have taken xanax, clonazepam and valium and in my experience clonazepam is probably the less addictive of the 3. I would totally stay away from xanax the withdrawl if you abuse them can be fatal. Please don't drink with any of these because it can slow your breathing and heart rate considerably. I used zoloft and nothing else and it helped me. I didn't need anything else but the zoloft when I was on it. It does take about 2 to 3 weeks to really kick in b/c it needs to build up in your system. good luck hope this helped

I've had the best luck with clonazepam. I used to take it daily/when I had panic attacks, but now I just take it at night to help me sleep or if I'm traveling on a plane or something. I had no side effects (and I always have ridiculous ones). I really hope it works well for you, good luck with it!

I have been on that medication for 8 months now. I take it as needed. I haven't had too many terrible side effects. In the early part of my treatment I did experience some hangover side effects and if I took two of them in one day it kind of knocked me out. But as you take it the side effects get less severe. I would warn you that sometimes it doesn't work for me. But that's because I take it often and sometimes it does take longer for it to work up to a couple hours for noticeable relief. Good luck to you on that medication.

I take it. It has some side effects (drowsiness mostly) that wear off. It is usually very effective.

I take 1 mg of it twice a day and it does not help me as much as xanax did, it takes too long to work and by then I am so anxious that it will not work. I am going back to the dr in January and asking him to put me on xanax again. I was on it years ago for about 5 years and then did not need it any longer. Then it all started again this year with anxiety so he wanted to try Klonopin but I feel it is not for me. I have no problem with addiction with any of the drugs, so thank goodness I do not worry about that part of it

I am taking 2mg a day right now, and it is helping my anxiety greatly... There is a little drowsiness, but if the dross of anti-anxieties it has been the most helpful, less addictive, and has the least intrusive side effects...
please never mix this with the booze... it has bad effects, and could be deadly.

I just started taking this drug about a month ago. It worked instantly. I was doing to 0.5 twice a day, then went to 0.75. Everything was going great after not being able to go to work for a week because of the anxiety. And then I tried dogod to just one 0.5 pill a day. I started having problems soon after. I am back to 2 0.5 pills a day. How long do you think it will take for things to get back to the way they where when I first started?
