I've been dealing with my anxiety for a few years now. However, now, I'm also 7½ months pregnant and I'm not able to take any of my meds to keep me calm while pregnant. My plea is for anyone out there who has survived pregnancy and anxiety to tell me your success story as a way of assisting me in staying calm. So far, everything is great with the baby- he's totally healthy and we're both doing great. But every time I feel anything weird I get that nervous feeling that something is going terribly wrong. And with 20+ pounds added to my body, everything is going to feel weird, but it doesn't make me feel any better. Thanks in advance for your help, I love this place!

Hi,
I think you will do fine. It ok to feel anxious you probally would even if you did not have anxiety because being pregnant and carrying life inside us is scarry. Knowing this is only temp.

When I found out I was p;regnant, my OB Dr and I discussed the risks of taking meds vs the risk of putting the baby through all the stress. I seen a Pysch Dr that speacialized in pregnant women and after a long debate I took meds because my Dr felt that the stress of anxiety and panic attacks would be more harmful to the baby than any of the side effects. Hang in there! Becareful after the baby is born too! Your hormones really throw you for a loop!

You're already doing a great job! Whatever you're doing already is working. Just keep reminding yourself that you're both doing great. Anxiety will still come and go but that doesn't change things.
Just a few more months! Keep up the good work! You can do this.

I so admire you ladies who have become pregnant and work hard at ensuring the health of your babies. I cannot even understand how that would feel or what it is like to go through.
But I wanted to say I think you are very brave!
