HI everyone! Here is what has been happening and I am starting to see a pattern and need to know if I sound like I could be right.
I get breathing problems that come on and last for about 1 - 2 weeks approx. I cant get rid of it no matter what I do some days worse then others. I am not wheezing or coughing like crazy I just breath and feel like there is a straw in my lungs or cotton balls and it is very scary.
6month or more ago I had a ling xray and spirometer test but it wasnt nessecarily happening at the time but all was clear.
Here is what i have noticed the last 2 months. It usually starts about 1 week or more prior to my menstrual cycle and lasts pretty much through it and a few days after then I go for another couple weeks and I feel fine. LAst month and this month the breathing thing started pretty much the same time and of course 1 week or so later I got my period. I am having the issue now and I am freaked out. I dont see how my period can cause this but why is it happening like this? The breathing thing is not that I cant take a full breath it just feels clogged in my lungs or like I mentioned I am breathing through a straw. I dont understand this and it is so uncomfterble all the time until it passes. I dont eat well or sleep well because How can I when I cant breath for 2 weeks?
ANyway thank you for listening..

" Thank you all for your comments. I just recently had a physical and doc ordered 5 viles of blood testing for tons of things. She listened to my chest didnt mention anything abnormal and I went for a chest xray (3rd one) in 1 and a half years.
I keep thinking I have emphemsema asthma or some lung disease. I am 31 years old I should be more active than I am but I am afraid I am afraid of pushing my body to its limit. I wish I wasnt :(
I watch people talk on tv and they look so relaxed and you cant even tell they are taking breaths when they talk. I certainly notcie when I do and I know others can to because they mention I am breathing shallow.
I dont get it. I hope I get some answers soon. HOnestly If I knew 100 percent this was all in my head I think my panic would be less but always thinking something is wrong just causes the panic and symptoms to be worse. "

" I have the same issues myself and also get awful constant headache for a week during or before my period and saw a pattern forming so i've had enough now and i'm going to get an injection every 3 months . It stops my periods . It's just another type of contraception . Not ideal but i can't put up with anymore . I don't know it's strange like i've a drop in something like sugar. I have to go to the doctor today so i'll ask her to do some tests i think . Thats very interesting what Sai1 said . I saw on the Dr Phil show that woman were lacking estrogen and most of us were put on anti deppresants instead and were misdiagnosed. So she's right there and it can hit us from 30 yrs of age onwards "

" I am periomenopausal, started at a young age, for me, because of the cancer treatment. Most of you do know that anxiety is one of the symptoms of this right? And if you think that this is hormonal based...wouldnt a woman who had problems with her periods excetra, NOT have a chance of anxiety being linked to one and the same?

depression, hot flashes, paranoia all of those are symptoms as well. There is a lot of them. "
