Lexapro and Wellbutrin XL

Anyone take this mix? I'm in the middle (7 months) of an episode and I can't get out of it. I've been on Lexapro and Wellbutrin for 3 weeks now. I exercise and try to think positive but I'm afraid if I don't get the positive more, then I will never get out of this. Won't the pills work? I mean, why take them if they don't? I have more anxiety than depression, I guess. I've had four episodes and came out of each one for years at a time and was "normal" - happy, relaxed, could read, watch TV - have two children that need their mom back.

HELP - do I just need more time?

Oh, when I was on Lexapro at the beginning - my doctor kept upping it and then lowering it and then upping it, and then the same with Effexor - he's not doing that this time with Lexapro and Wellbutrin plus I take klonopin - and I never had to take that much before - maybe .5mg every so often but now I take 1mg every four hours. Do most of you come out of this?

" I'm on 40mg of Lexapro a day. It works ok but I need to do some cognitive practice as well and of course good diet and exercise. "

" Gosh, I'm going through such a time asking myself: do you need medication? do you not need medication? I was on Lexapro (last time around) and found that it worked great for the first 2 months and then my anxiety got worse. That's just me, but I've never responded well to ssri's. The side effects outweigh the benefits so I end up taking myself off.
See my psychiatrist today so can't wait to tell him that I took myself off the Lexapro... he won't be happy but I'm not going to make him happy, I'm trying to help myself. I don't know if this answers you but everything changes. Nothing ever stays the same. I understand how difficult this is as I've been going through this since I was 10. I had long stretches of being OK and then whammo..... not too uplifting when that happens. "

" So how do you feel off medications? I wonder too if they make you worse.....unfortunately probably not if you stick with them all the way even if that means 12 weeks or more which has happened to me before "
