" Good Morning...my daughter takes it daily. I am pretty sure it's not one that can be taken as needed, I remember her doctor telling us that is has to be in her system a while to take effect. Cmm "

" Dear mimismum3,
I've been taking Clonazepam for about 6 mos. and I had to "tweek" it a little at first, but it now works like a charm.
The original dosage was 2 pills per day (.5mg/pill), AS NEEDED.
At first, it really knocked me on my behind! But, then my mom suggested I get it into my system by taking one pill each morning, whether I needed it or not. Well, while that worked, but it still made me feel pretty loopy.
So! About 3 weeks ago, I decided to do another "tweek".
I split the pills into halves, and I take one HALF of a pill 4 times per day. I take one at 8am, 12noon, 3pm, and then my last at 6pm.
I suggest playing around with it to find how it works best for you.
It does need to be in your system, at some consistent level, or in my opinion it doesn't work it's best.
Good luck and be well. "

" I take a quarter in morning and quarter at night before bed. Too much for me knocks me out.. but cutting them up to a quarter doesn't knock me out. For Klonopin to work it has to stay in your system. It's not quite like Xanax which is an as needed pill. :) "

" I am supposed to take it as needed. I only use them when I'm having major panic issues. Mainly because I'm opposed to taking medication. But every couple months when my anxiety makes me want to throw up or cry, I take a couple. It makes me feel a little better. "

" I take one in the morning to start my day off as stressless as possible and then if I am feeling anxious or I have too many thoughs I take another one. "

" please understand this med as all benzos should not be used in the long term no more than 2 months. I had REALLY REALLY bad withdraws when I came off I had a seizure and was puking every day for a week.

They have banned the use of benzos in certain contries due to becoming HIGLY dependant on them.

Good info.
