Beta blocker question

Hello everybody. I hope you are all having a good weekend. I have a question about beta blockers. I have been on many medications for a long time and I do not feel like they are working. When I last saw my doctor on Tuesday I asked him if there was any medication I could try to get me off some of my current meds. I am currently taking two benzos a day among others. He prescribed me a beta blocker. I have been taking it for a couple of days now and I just have a question about the effect it has on people. I have been feeling weird since I started taking the beta blocker. Let me explain, I feel like I should be anxious when I get in a situation but I am not. It is kind of like expecting to get anxious but the anxiety I experience is not near as bad as I anticipate. Any body else get a feeling like that? My anxiety has not completely disappeared but it feals like an improvement. Also does anybody get tired from beta blockers. I do not know if it was the medication or what but the first night I took them I slept for 12-13 hrs. Any info on this would be great and I hope everybody has a good week end.

I am not on beta blockers, however, it sounds like the change is doing something for you.
Best wishes.

I was really fatigued and lightheaded for the first 2-3 weeks but those side effects went away.

I was put on one for anxiety but don't see any improvement other than my pulse staying quite low...also have a higher level of fatigue but that could be coincidental related to the meds I take for chronic pain.
Sounds like it might be helping you at least to some extent though. Hopefully the side effects will wear off and you'll really notice a benefit.
