Anyone else have a sudden sense of foreboding danger, and heaviness so bad that all you want to do is lock yourself up in a dark comfort zone and not answer the phone or hang out with anyone... just the thoughts and emptiness.

" Yes, I have a lot of experience with panic attacks. Do you have physical symptoms that go with these feelings? Has a doctor diagnosed it as panic disorder? "

" Oh yes. I hate it when its out of the blue....One minute feeling great, the next not. Thats why is has to be a chemical inbalance. "

" All of a sudden sucks!

Last week was having a good day and BAM!! I got crazy tense, had a pretty bad panic attack, not sure why or how, but it did.

My wife and close friend feel it is a chemical imbalance at this point, still suggest I try meds, but, I am so trying to do this w/o any heavy duty meds, such as an antidepressant.

All good things take time, I did not realize initially that my anxiety started way back in Dec. 2010. My wife and I were having some issues and then I never let go of them. I lived in fear of losing her everyday of my life.

Anyway, we do not get like this overnight and we are not able to overcome it overnight, although that is what I have been trying to do . "

" Doctors don't even know what cause panic attacks, it could be hereditary, it could be a chemical imbalance, it could be situational, it could be all three combined it varying degrees, or even something they haven't yet discovered that triggers a panic attack..they don't know.

They don't even know for certain the correct amount of medicine or type of medicine to give a patient to combat it...Its an educated guesotherir part..Psychiatry is the most inexact field of medicine today. Simply because the brain is the least understood part of our body. "

" Or it could be the fact that your natural instinct for danger has gone a little bit haywire perhaps??? possibly because its been pushed to its limits lately? and is now so finely triggered that it can go off at the slightlest subliminal trigger? And then you throw into the mix a little social anxiety and you got a recipe for panic attacks.

Anxiety. A natural human response gone nutso. "

" This could be true Elament. I've been under a lot of self induced stress and some non self induced stress, but now it all has collided.

I think I am extremely sensitive to all sorts of feelings now! "
