" I started Buspirone about a month ago, and like you it started working quickly, then after about a week it wasn't working, so my dr. increased the dose to 1 14mg tablet twice a day, and it has taken a week or so to work again. Now I am much better with the anxiety, but haven't really tested it by planning a trip. I think it is important to take it at the same time each day. Hope this helps "

" my experience with buspirone was a good one. i think it is fine whn taken alone (no other meds). It can have a sedative effect, so if you are feeling too tired, yo may possibly ask to try another med with less of a sedative effect, like celexa...also a good med, in small dose. Like all meds...you cannot stop "cold turkey"...plz wean off. I am now med free, however, i did find the buspirone effective. "

" Just started taking three weeks ago. It kicked in a couple of days later, but like teabag it started to not work so my doctor increased it to 10 mg 2x a day. As for sedating effects, I've been on klonopin and xanax, and I choose the buspirone cause the sedative effects are nothing compared to klonopin and xanax which I like very much. "
